Black Bee Honey Black Bee British Autumn Honey 227g

Black Bee British autumn honey is silky smooth, with a long, lingering finish and malty notes. Often compared to Manuka honey, this aromatic British autumn honey has high antibacterial properties – great stirred through hot water for a warm drink – but it’s equally delicious spread over crumpets and sourdough toast.

This autumn honey is sourced from apiaries in Yorkshire and Scotland. Honey is often measured for its antimicrobial quality and referred to as TA (total activity) – the higher the TA, the greater the antimicrobial quality. The scale typically ranges from 1 – 20, and this autumn honey rates an impressive 17 on the scale.

As this honey is unpasteurised, it can set over time. If this is the case, gently warm it and the honey will return to its soft texture. This honey is not suitable for babies under 12 months.

The name Black Bee comes from the native British honey bee which was verging on extinction until dedicated reserves were created in South West England. Black Bee Honey founders Paul and Chris are passionate about supporting and celebrating British bees with their exclusively British blends. 

Unblended and unpasteurised, each jar of honey is stamped with the beekeeper’s name and the apiary it comes from.
