Blanco Nino’s blue corn tortilla chips made with ancient grain are the salty, savoury crisp you won’t be able to stop eating. Dark charcoal triangles are light yet beautiful, crunchy and coated in flaky sea salt. Their balance of earthy, salty flavours compliment the bold, warm spices of Mexican food.
These chips are made Amaranth, which is a gluten-free ancient grain produced since the Aztec period. It has a gentle nutty sweet flavour which works with the salty, earthy corn for a well-balanced, moreish crisp.
Dip these tortilla chips in homemade tangy guacamole or a fiery tomato salsa, or use as a base for a sharing plate of nachos loaded with creamy queso and tender carnitas.
These tortilla chips are vegan and gluten-free.
About Blanco Nino
Blanco Nico arose from one man’s pursity of the perfect tortilla. From his travels across Mexico visiting milpas (fields), molinos (mills) and tortillerias, founder Philli Mountain discovered a thousand year old recipe which he brought home to Ireland and adapted to create a range of chips with the perfect crunch.
Blanco Nico only uses non-GMO corn in their tortillas, which is cooked and then strained overnight before being ground and shaped on hand-carved Mexican stones. A meticulous three day process from start to finish, but the final crunch is worth the wait.
Ingredients: Non-GMO blue corn (78.7%), Amaranth (2.4%), sunflower oil, salt.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place
