Netherton Foundry’s Dutch oven with hot coal lid and stand is the ultimate cookware collection for outdoor cooking, whether it’s in the garden, at the beach, on the allotment or camping. 

This set consists of:

• Spun iron 4 litre oven-safe bowl measuring 10cm with a diameter of 30.7cm.
• Hot coal lid with a diameter of 29cm.
• Black iron bowl stand with 3 detachable black iron legs measuring 24cm in height.

Use the deep, spun iron bowl for baking loaves of sourdough, cooking hearty ragus and even pies. The spun iron bowl has a smooth, flat base for consistent cooking results on all stoves and hobs. 

You can use the lid to keep heat within the bowl, or turn it upside down, pile with hot coals and then use as an outdoor oven for cooking smoky aubergines, buttery corn on the cob and perfectly cooked baked potatoes. The 2.5cm high rim keeps the coals on the top of the lid.

The sturdy stand is ideal for cooking over open flames, keeping the Dutch oven balanced over the coals. The legs are easily removable for when you want to cook indoors.

How to care for the Dutch oven

Iron cookware can withstand extremely high temperatures and is a pure, simple metal which is easy to care for. This Dutch oven comes pre-seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a natural non-stick finish.

Hand wash only, dry thoroughly after washing.

If you need to scrub, use a plastic bristle brush in hot soapy water, but avoid anything harsher. Avoid detergents completely.
