Netherton Foundry’s spun iron outdoor frying pan lets you cook juicy sausages, burgers and fried eggs over open flames, without the fear of burning yourself.Â
This hand-spun pan is made from 99.1% pure iron, with a long oak handle. The extra long handle makes this pan safe to use on campfires and fire pits, but for more versatility, remove the handle to use the pan indoors on hobs (including induction), in the oven or grill.Â
How to care for the pans
Spun black iron pans are loved by professional chefs for their consistent cooking results, ease of use and withstanding of high temperatures. Each pan is spun by hand, making this an extra special piece of cookware. This also means the bases aren’t completely flat. If you want to keep it as flat as possible, follow these tips:
- Heat the pan slowly, don’t turn the heat to full right away.
- Smaller rings can warp larger pans, so always use a pan that matches the hob size.
- Never submerge the pan into cold water as this will cause the pan to warp.
Iron cookware can withstand extremely high temperatures and is a pure, simple metal which is easy to care for. This frying pan comes pre-seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a natural non-stick finish.
Hand wash only, dry thoroughly after washing.
If you need to scrub, use a plastic bristle brush in hot soapy water, but avoid anything harsher. Avoid detergents completely.
