Netherton Foundry’s spun iron split chapa with fire table is an open fire, inspired by the Argentinian Gauchos – perfect for cooking flank steaks, whole cauliflower and corn on the cob.
This charcoal-fuelled BBQ comes with three different plates, depending on what you’re cooking:
- Two semi circular chapas that pair together to create one large cooking surface, ideal for cooking steaks, peppers and larger vegetables.
- One solid griddle plate, ideal for cooking eggs, fritters, pancakes, and smaller vegetables that would otherwise falls through a grill.
- One BBQ grid to give food a distinct chargrilled taste.
The plates come with a split fire table, designed to protect the ground from the open fire. The black iron fire table has three removable legs for ease of storing and carrying.Â

How to care for the chapa with fire table
Iron cookware can withstand extremely high temperatures and is a pure, simple metal which is easy to care for. This split chapa with fire table comes pre-seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a natural non-stick finish.
Hand wash only, dry thoroughly after washing.
If you need to scrub, use a plastic bristle brush in hot soapy water, but avoid anything harsher. Avoid detergents completely.
About Netherton Foundry
The Netherton Foundry is a family company based in Shropshire – home of the 18th and 19th century ironmasters. Their pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and they use locally sourced materials wherever possible – the oak that makes the pan handles is British, and the flax seasoning oil comes from Sussex. Experienced local craftsmen use traditional manufacturing methods to bring you high quality cookware that gets better over time.
