Colomba di Pasqua, or ‘Easter Doves’, are traditional dove-shaped Italian Easter cakes. Colomba are traditionally made with yeast and eggs, like panettone, but are topped with sugar icing or chocolate. Colomba undergo a quadruple-leavening process to make the finished cake exceptionally light and airy.

This Colomba is topped with white chocolate and whole pistachios. It comes with one of the best things you can find in a jar – Sicilian pistachio cream. Spread generously over slices of Colomba for a luxurious Easter treat.

Ingredients colomba: soft wheat flour, butter, sugar, fresh eggs, white chocolate covering (10%) (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla extract), fresh egg yolk, natural yeast (wheat flour, water, yeast), Sicilian honey, invert sugar syrup, pistachio (Pistacia vera) (2%), orange paste (orange peel, sugar, glucose-fructose syrup, lemon juice), emulsifier: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, salt, natural vanilla flavouring.
Ingredients pistachio spread: sugar, pistachio (Pistacia vera) (22%), vegetable oils and fats (sunflower oil, cocoa butter, safflower), skimmed milk powder, whey powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural flavourings, colouring agent (curcumin, chlorophyll crupic), salt.
