Terre Exotique’s detox chai is a concoction of fragrant spices for creating a nourishing drink. Masala chai has been used in ayurvedic medicine for centuries, and is a popular spice blend in India. This blend includes Ceylon cinnamon, ginger, fennel, green anise and liquorice.Â
To use this spice blend, boil the spices for 15 minutes in water, leave to cool slightly then strain and enjoy. Alternatively, follow the below instructions:
- Boil 1 glass of water and 1 glass of milk together in a saucepan.
- Lightly crush 2 teaspoons of the spices in a pestle and mortar, then add to the saucepan with 1 teaspoon of black tea and 2 teaspoons of sugar.
- Boil for 15 minutes.
- Strain and serve.
As well as being a delicious drink, this mix of spices is believed to help digestion, relieve fatigue and boost the immune system.
